AccEase history

AccEase was founded in 2001 by Graham Oliver and Robyn Hunt. 2011 was our tenth anniversary year.

AccEase formed a strategic partnership with publications specialists Knighton & Associates Ltd from 2003 to 2006. Judy Knighton continues to advise and consult for AccEase.

Mike Osborne came on board in 2006.

In late 2008 we decided to widen our focus to include the range of accessible communications and information.

In our first ten years we have tested hundreds of web sites in the public, private and not for profit sectors. We have conducted three significant cross-government surveys on web accessibility and contributed to the development of international and national web standards.

AccEase has developed and presented training in many different settings on web and information accessibility. We have keynoted at international conferences, reviewed documents and communications material, provided online disability resources and advised on a variety of disability related matters.
